Morocco receives over euro 200 million in 2009
Morocco tops the list of partners that benefited from the European Union's financial support as part of neighborhood assistance, receiving about euro 205 million in 2009, said on Wednesday the Head of the EU delegation in Morocco, Eneko Landaburu.

This package, he underlined, is designed to support reforms and development program underway in Morocco.

Landaburu thus listed the sectors that benefited from this financial support: energy (euro 20 million), health (euro 25 million), education (euro 29 million), the INDH (euro 20 million), investment and exports (euro 20 million) and administrative reform and governance (euro 15 million).

The EU official also commended the efforts that have been made in recent years to promote the Moroccan economy's openness and competitiveness.
