Maroc Telecom's consolidated revenues up 2.8%
  24/02/2010

Maroc Telecom Group's 2009 consolidated revenues amounted to MAD 30,339 million, up 2.8% compared to 2008, said the company in a press release.

The increase was a result of a good performance of the company in Morocco and its subsidiaries abroad, despite the impacts of a challenging economic and regulatory climate.

It also said that these results were also underpinned by the promotional efforts, capital expenditure and innovations that Maroc Telecom continues to pursue.

The Group's 2009 fourth quarter revenues amounted to MAD 7,917 million, up 5.8% relative to the same period in the previous year.

The company had 21.7 million customers at end-2009, up 12.6% year on year, “reflecting the inclusion of Sotelma, the resurgence in the growth of the Mobile activity in Morocco and continued expansion of the subsidiaries' customer bases.”
