In press conference, the spokesman of the French foreign ministry, Bernard Valero, said that the summit marked an important step towards discussing all the issues at the highest level, in a climate of trust.

Praising the summit, he added that “it is now incumbent on us to deepen and consolidate this progress and pursue the efforts made in all areas.”

He also expressed his country's support for the agreement providing for the liberalization of services trade, to come into force before the end of the year.
